This Monday, the Machava Stadium will be handed over to the Interministerial Commission for the Organization of Major Events to begin decoration work for the central ceremonies celebrating the 50th anniversary of independence.

According to a report in "O País", the Machava Stadium was the scene of a visit by the Provincial Services Councils representing the State of Maputo Province and City, and the Executive Council of Maputo Province.

At the time, there were assurances that the current stage of work on the Machava Stadium is advanced and that the venue will be handed over this Monday, June 15.

The lighting towers are 100% functional, the toilets are in perfect condition and there are guarantees of safety for the public who will be at the Machava Stadium on June 25.

The Olympic pyre area, where the flame of national unity, which has traveled the length and breadth of the country, will be placed, deserves special attention.

It should be noted that the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, will lead the central ceremonies celebrating the 50th anniversary of independence, at the venue where national independence was proclaimed 50 years ago.
