The President of the Assembly of the Republic reiterated this morning the need to join forces in the fight against terrorism in some districts of Cabo Delgado province.
According to Esperança Bias, who was speaking during the opening of Parliament's 9th ordinary session, the terrorists who are creating instability in the country are the same ones who are carrying out atrocities in some European and American countries. For this reason, "we must intensify regional and international cooperation in the fight against terrorists, as well as provide the Defense and Security Forces with material resources and humanitarian assistance".
Bias went on to call on young people not to join the ranks of terrorists, but to be vigilant and report strange movements in their communities. The source also expressed concern about these attacks, encouraging the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) to continue fighting this phenomenon.
"We are concerned about the actions of terrorists who have created panic among the people of Cabo Delgado province, preventing the normal movement of people and goods, and destroying infrastructure," he said.
