The Xiluva School of Arts, in a co-production with the Maputo Port Gallery, is presenting a children's play entitled "My Grandmother's Chest" on the grounds of the Maputo Port Gallery, starting this Saturday, April 15, and continuing on April 22 and 29.
The play will feature Mel Matsinhe and Yuck Miranda as characters, both of whom - with long cultural experience - will bring the audience mysterious stories from my grandmother's trunk. The mischievous Yuck and his grandmother will tell inspiring African stories in an evening that will combine piano, music, emotions and lots of laughter.
From the outset, the production was designed for the whole family. The work is part of the children's activities held weekly by the Xiluva School of Arts on the grounds of the Maputo Port Gallery.
