Eni Rovuma Basin and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) signed a memorandum last week in Maputo to support the diversification of the Mozambican economy.
The agreement provides for cooperation in the development of the agricultural sector, professional education, vocational training, health, food safety, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene.
On the occasion, the Director General of Eni Rovuma Basin, Marica Calabrese, said that the partnership would help broaden the horizon, taking into account USAID's experience, as well as "helping to improve the quality of life of the communities".
The USAID Mission Director in Mozambique, Helena Patakis, said that the memorandum reflects the commitment to collaborate with the private sector to achieve common development goals.
She also said that the work with the private sector will create solutions to promote economic growth, improving people's lives.
