The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique-CTA is demanding that the rules for the concession of Maputo city beaches to private operators be transparent and objective.

For the entrepreneurs, this is the only way the concession project will benefit everyone, namely the tourism sector, the business community itself and the population.

"The private sector sees the concession of beaches as a positive initiative, as long as it is conducted with clear criteria of transparency, sustainability and social inclusion," said Muhammad Abdullah Assam, President of the Tourism Department at the association.

The CTA believes that the tourist standard of well-structured parishes is rising, making them more attractive and competitive for both nationals and foreigners.

"A well-structured concession model offers predictability for investors, guaranteeing sustainable growth in the tourism business," he said, quoted by the News.
