Businesspeople from Japan are interested in exploring new business opportunities in Mozambique, including the marketing of agricultural products and processed foods in the country.
The information was provided this Monday (17) by the president of the Mozambican Chamber of Commerce (CCM), Álvaro Massingue, during a visit by Japanese businesspeople to Maputo, noting that the delegation's arrival in the country reflects their knowledge of the quality and potential of Mozambique's agro-industrial sector.
"This is a country with great potential, great business opportunities for both Mozambicans and foreigners, so it's something we have to take seriously. The country has more than 36 million hectares of arable land, rich in natural resources and crossed by important watercourses that favor rainfed and irrigated agriculture," said Massingue, quoted by the Mozambican press. AIM.
A delegation of businesspeople from Japan is traveling to Nampula province today, Tuesday (18), for another exploratory mission to the districts of Ribaué and Ilha de Moçambique, respectively.
On the occasion, the head of the Japanese business delegation, Toshihiro Takagi, said that his visit to Mozambique was expected to strengthen exchanges between the two countries.
"We hope to deepen this opportunity to develop our exchange and accelerate the economies of Mozambique and Japan," said Toshihiro Takagi.
