The company responsible for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, Meta, could be making another round of redundancies very soon.
The news is being reported by Vox website citing "several sources who work at the company".
According to the same source, the new wave could result in the dismissal of 4,000 people. You know that the redundancies at the American multinational are not new. In November 2022 alone, Meta had already laid off 11,000 employees.
In fact, last February, according to Notícias ao Minuto, Mark Zuckerberg, the company's CEO, had already warned that 2023 would be "the year of efficiency", indicating that the company would reduce spending. Bearing this in mind, it's possible that these April layoffs may not be the last.
