The National Electoral Commission (CNE) guarantees that it has received all the voting material for October 9 from the provinces and the diaspora, and is currently compiling the data for the general tabulation.

These are ballot papers, minutes and notices used in more than 26,000 polling stations in the country and abroad, sent in sealed form to the CNE headquarters in Maputo.

In a NewsThe spokesman for the governing body of the electoral process, Paulo Cuinica, confirmed that work is underway on the national centralization and general tabulation of the results, which should be published by the 24th of this month.

"We are working to finalize the process so that we don't miss the 24th, the date set for the announcement of the final results of the presidential, legislative and provincial assembly elections," Cuinica said.

Meanwhile, at the time, the CNE spokesman called on citizens and competitors to wait calmly and serenely for the official announcement of the results by the competent authority.
