The electoral legislation recently approved by Parliament extends the deadline for submitting candidacies from June 10 to June 25.
According to the provisions of article 136, the nomination for the office of President of the Republic must take place no later than 106 days before election day.

As part of the same changes, Parliament also changed the deadline for submitting the distribution of mandates by province to June 5 this year.
On Monday, the reception of applications begins at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Center in Maputo.
