Just over 6,000 teachers will be hired in the current school year, of which more than 3,000 will be distributed among the different primary schools and the rest for secondary education, according to the Ministry of Education and Human Development (MINEDH).
The information was revealed in Maputo by MINEDH spokesman Feliciano Mahalambe.
"We hope to hire just over 6,000 teachers throughout the country, who will be divided between the different primary and secondary schools," said Mahalambe during Radio Mozambique's "breakfast".
The source also explained that these teachers serve to reinforce those "we already have in order to reduce the problems of overcrowded classes and excessive overtime".
