The Russian leader, quoted by Russian state television, said that attempts to isolate Moscow will fail giving the success of the Soviet space program as proof that Russia can achieve achievements it aspires to even under the most difficult conditions.
Putin also said that Russia will never depend on the West after the United States of America and allies launched new sanctions for the Russian invasion that began on February 24.
"It is impossible to severely isolate anyone in the modern world, especially in a country as vast as Russia," Vladimir Putin pointed out, as quoted by the international press.
The Russian president traveled to the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia's Far East, 5,550 kilometers east of Moscow, to mark 61 years after Yuri Gagarin of the Soviet Union entered the history books as the first man to go into space.
It should also be noted that Putin assured this Tuesday that the 'special military operation' in Ukraine - the term used by Moscow to define the invasion, "undoubtedly" achieved its "noble" goals.
