Former US President Donald Trump has said that he will launch his own social network "Truth Social" to rival social giants like Facebook and Twitter, but above all to ensure that everyone can freely express their feelings.
A release states that a new company formed through the merger of Trump Media and Technology Group and a specific acquisition company (SPAC) is that will create "Social Thruth."
The document quotes Trump railing against the fact that the Taliban has a fortified presence on Twitter and he was banned from the network, and said "this is unacceptable." The former president also made no secret of his anxiety about being able to share "truths" on "Social Thruth."
"For so long, Big Tech suppressed conservative voices," said the former president's son, Donald Trump Jr.
"My father signed a definitive merger agreement to form what will ultimately be Trump Media and Technology Group and Truth Social - a platform for everyone to express their feelings," he revealed.
The beta version of the network should be introduced as early as November and the full rollout in the first quarter of 2022. In addition, a subscription video service called TMTG+ will follow, which will feature entertainment, news and podcasts, according to that statement.
As if that weren't enough, Trump's network is expected to rival Amazon.com's AWS Cloud service and Google Cloud.
Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms banned Trump from their services after hundreds of his supporters rioted at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
