The Privinvest Group must reimburse the Mozambican state a certain amount on account of the damage caused by the hidden debts. In fact, the London Magistrates' Court in England has scheduled a hearing for September 18 and 19 to discuss and determine the amount to be paid to Mozambique.
Among other things, the session will deal with the issue of interest on the arbitrated compensation of 1.9 billion dollars, reports Notícia, which quotes a source from the Attorney General's Office.
The amount refers to what the Mozambican state paid under the Guarantees, including principal, interest and fees; as well as the transaction agreements reached with Credit Suisse and other banks and financial institutions.
The figure also reflects the amounts that the state still has to pay in connection with the Eurobonds and the settlement agreement with VTBC.
Privinvest was also ordered to pay the still-unquantified interest valued at millions of dollars.
The Public Prosecutor's Office says it will make every effort to have all the legal costs it has incurred in this case reimbursed.
