Disney and Scarlett Johansson make up over 'Black Widow' lawsuit

Disney and actress Scarlett Johansson have reached a settlement that marks the end of the lawsuit filed in July by the actress against the studio. At issue was the release of his latest film with Marvel, 'Black Widow'.

The claim was based on the decision to release the film simultaneously in cinemas and on the Disney+ streaming platform, which amounted to a breach of contract. In fact, part of his salary depended on the success of the movie at the box office.

The information came through a statement where the parties confirm the end of the process and left the door open for future collaborations.

"I am happy to have resolved the differences with Disney," Johansson indicated in a statement.

For his part, Alan Bergman, chairman of Disney Studios Content, was happy that "a mutual understanding has been reached regarding 'Black Widow.'"

Both parties alluded to future collaborations. This could happen with a film based on the amusement park Tower of Terror, which the actress is developing with the studio. It should be noted that Scarlett Johansson's work as Natasha Romanoff under the Marvel banner has ended after nine films.
