Tropical cyclone Dikeledi, which devastated the provinces of Zambézia and Nampula, caused the deaths of five people in three districts of Nampula.
Three people died in Angoche, one in Mossuril and another in the city of Nampula. The phenomenon affected a total of 35,164 people, according to Luísa Meque.
According to the President of the National Institute for Risk and Disaster Management (INGD), Dikeledi partially destroyed 5,475 houses and another 2,750 were totally destroyed.
State infrastructures also suffered the impact of the storm, with 13 health facilities and 42 schools damaged.
Meanwhile, 722 people who were affected by the storm and lost their homes have been sheltered in a total of three accommodation centers.
