Two police officers of the Republic of Mozambique Police assigned to the Rapid Intervention Unit (UIR) in Nampula are being held in SERNIC cells, accused of kidnapping and swindling citizens.
According to Notícias, the crime was consummated in the district of Mogovolas, specifically in the village of Nametil, where the agents, in collusion with three other people now arrested, would have kidnapped two brothers, keeping them in private custody for four days, in a residence somewhere in Namutequeliua neighborhood, in the city of Nampula.
