Asphalting the Moamba- Magude and Magude-Xinavane stretches in Maputo province is one of the main promises of Daniel Chapo, Frelimo's candidate for President of the Republic.
The two road corridors, 130 and 15 kilometers long, respectively, are considered strategic for the socio-economic development of both districts, located on the northern axis of the province.
The Moamba-Magude road, which crosses the villages of Chichuco and Xinhangwanine, is seen as an important alternative to the National Road Number Four (EN-4) for those who want to reach Gaza province quickly without having to pass through the cities of Matola and Maputo.
Daniel Chapo, who began his campaign tour in Maputo province yesterday, held a popular rally in the town of Magude, where he pledged to reopen the Mapulangwene border.
As he said, the border post will help reduce the distance to and from neighboring South Africa and make tourism in the country more flexible, especially the entry of South African tourists who want to visit the game reserves in Magude or other conservation areas in Gaza and Inhambane.
