The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, said today from the Vatican that Pope Francis "was a man of all religions" because he advocated interfaith coexistence.
The Head of State will attend the funeral of Pope Francis, accompanied by the First Lady, Gueta Chapo, and the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Mateus Saize.
"It didn't make sense for us not to be here because when the Pope went to Mozambique [September 2019] he left a message of peace," he noted.
For Chapo, the best way to celebrate Pope Francis' actions is to continue his legacy, spreading the message of love of neighbor, peace and reconciliation.
