Frelimo's presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo, called on society to wait calmly for the proclamation and validation of the electoral results of the seventh elections, which give him the lead with 70,67% of votes.
Speaking at Frelimo's national headquarters early on Thursday evening (24), Daniel Chapo stressed that he would work to promote inclusion and dialogue with all the living forces of society in order to build a prosperous Mozambique, free from manifestations that, in his view, only slow down the ongoing development process.
"I will continue to defend democratic pluralism and the debate of ideas with the participation of all citizens, regardless of their party affiliation," said Chapo, quoted by the Sunday newspaper.
