The government guarantees that if the existence of corruption schemes at Mozambique Airlines (LAM) is proven, as denounced by Fly Modern Ark, the company's managers will be held accountable by the competent authorities.
This Sunday, the Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, said that the complaint by Fly Modern Ark, the South African company that manages LAM, of alleged embezzlement at the airline, has already reached the government, stressing that "if it is proven that management rules have been violated, there is room to hold those involved accountable".
According to Maleiane, quoted by the newspaper "The Country"If the management rule has been violated, this has to be corrected, and there are legal and financial instruments for resolving the problem." "All management problems arise, unfortunately, the important thing is that we have a solution, so that we don't have the problems we have, and if there is in fact any malicious intent in this process, then we have the institutions that deal with this problem. So we have to help the company and the managers find the right path," he added.
The Prime Minister went on to say that the government is working hard to turn LAM into a model company. Therefore, "we have to understand that LAM is a company that can have good times and bad times, and the important thing is to identify the problem and solve it, because that's the way it has to be, especially when it's a public company, it has to be the model, and that's the effort the government is making".
