The President of the Constitutional Council, Lúcia Ribeiro, will meet with the leader of the PODEMOS party, Albino Forquilha, today at 3pm at the Constitutional Council's headquarters.

A statement quoted by ZD News indicates that the meeting is part of the validation of the results of the general presidential, legislative and provincial assembly elections held on October 9.

The meeting is considered a crucial step towards the conclusion of the electoral process.

The meeting is taking place at a time when the country is experiencing a political crisis due to a wave of demonstrations called by presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane, in protest at the election results.
