Meet the GT Runner, an athlete's watch launched by Huawei

China's Huawei has added a new smartwatch to the Watch GT line. The Runner features an OLED touchscreen display and is primarily targeted at running enthusiasts.

According to the brand, this smartwatch, by recording environmental and health data, can create a scientific and personalized workout plan.

The Runner features the Huawei TruSport professional running training system, which aims to provide in-depth analysis by providing data on training intensity, training volume, recovery time, etc. It also incorporates a new running ability measurement system (RAI), which, combined with the Professional Running Program, aims to improve each athlete's performance.

The system of this smartwatch can calculate running performance based on heart rate history, speed, distance, frequency and other multidimensional data, and measure RAI to classify the runner's ability. In addition, data such as fatigue level, training index, aerobic/anaerobic training pressures are also displayed to help runners analyze their own condition and make reasonable adjustments to the plan to improve their results.

Nevertheless, the Runner, according to Huawei, also features the industry's first suspended hidden antenna, which allows dual-band GNSS positioning from five systems (GPS + Beidou + GLONASS + Galileo + QZSS) to accurately monitor the running path and provide more precise positioning.

The Runner is an Android and iOS compatible smartwatch, with Harmony OS 2.1 as its operating system. As usual in the Watch GT line, the Runner is capable of monitoring more than 100 sport modes, SpO2, sleep, and stress.
