There are private clinics that illegally administer drugs and other biological products of exclusive use of the Ministry of Health in Maputo province. This is a revelation made on Tuesday by the Secretary of State in the Province Vitória Diogo.

The Secretary of State in Maputo province says there are private health units that administer drugs and biological products for the exclusive use of the Ministry of Health (MISAU).

Victoria Diogo announced this on Tuesday at a ceremony celebrating 10 years of a private health unit in the city of Matola, called Sunshine Hospitals.

The Secretary of State in Maputo Province, who also listed other irregularities found recently by the inspection sector, said such situations are unacceptable.

The central government representative stressed that as a result of these findings, there may be accountability in the sector.

In celebration of the ten years of its installation in the city of Matola, the private health unit offered 50 waiting benches to the provincial hospital.

Currently Maputo province has eighty-one private clinics.
