There are shortages of liquid fuel in the cities of Maputo and Matola due to the stoppage and robberies carried out at the pumps by alleged protesters.

Since yesterday, many fuel stations have seen long queues of motorists trying to refuel their vehicles.

The scenario is due to the fact that many pumps were closed for fear of action by alleged protesters, and some were vandalized on the night of December 23, shortly after the election results were validated.

Several motorists traveled long distances in search of pumps where they could fill up their vehicles.
