Most of the coastal districts of Nampula province are without telephone communication on the networks of the three national operators, following cyclone Gombe that hit the mainland in the early hours of Friday morning, with Mossuril district as the entry point.

At this moment, the rains and the winds are increasing in intensity, and at least in the city of Nampula, the streets and avenues are "empty". In many institutions, few employees have gone to their posts, and commerce is running at half speed.
