The President of the Mozambican Federation (FMF), Feizal Sidat, said today at the headquarters in Maputo that the fate of the coach of the national soccer team, Francisco Queriol "Chiquinho" Conde...
"When the time comes, we'll say whether or not Chiquinho stays. It's not just the decision of the President of the Federation, it's the decision of the Federation's executive, which also has a decision on whether or not to keep him. mister Chiquinho or not," he said during a press conference.
Nevertheless, Feizal noted that the national soccer team coach is free to choose his destination when his contract expires in the next five months.
"Anyone who thinks they're not doing well in this house [FMF] can change their tune. I give what I can, but if it's not right, change the air," he said, while criticizing the fact that Chiquinho "washes his dirty linen" outside the FMF.
At the conference, Feizal referred to several "heartbreaking" episodes caused by Chiquinho Conde, including disrespecting him.
"Chiquinho was disrespectful to the president of the Federation. Let him tell me if he didn't disrespect me in the locker room. In a game with Malawi, when we qualified for CHAN. When I went to congratulate the national team, I was all euphoric, and my dear, kind national coach came up to me and said: we have no ice here, we have no ice here. I left there crying. He thinks it's the job of a federation president to worry about ice," he said.
Among other things, he said that Chiquinho Conde had forbidden the vice-president of the FMF from riding on the same bus as the Mambas in official matches and that he himself, Feizal, gives his protocol car to the vice-president of the FMF and rides with the Mambas on the bus.
