The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, highlighted his government's main achievements in its first 100 days, reiterating the payment of salary arrears and overtime and the settlement of debts with suppliers.
Speaking in Massinga, Inhambane province, southern Mozambique, Daniel Chapo stressed that these measures are fundamental for the economic stability and well-being of the population.

However, Chapo pointed to the fight against corruption as a challenge because it slows down the country's development. "The money earmarked for investments in water distribution, electricity and road construction goes into people's pockets," he denounced, adding that corruption affects sectors such as health, among others.
To this end, the head of the Mozambican state urged officials to offer better service to the people, from police officers to doctors and nurses, and promised to reward the best professionals.
