The company Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM) will invest just over seven billion meticais in the rehabilitation and construction of the second oil terminal at the port of Beira, in Sofala.
The information was provided by the chairman of the board of CFM, Agostinho Langa.
Langa said, quoted by Rádio de Moçambique, that the investment to be made next year is aimed at increasing cargo handling capacity.
According to the official, the work will essentially consist of extending the dredging.
The source also explained that an action is currently underway to select a contractor specializing in the construction of port infrastructures.
