Mozambican beer "Txilar" is already marketed in the Kingdom of Eswatini

Cerveja moçambicana “Txilar” já é comercializada no Reino de Eswatini

Heineken Mozambique is exporting Txilar beer to the Kingdom of Eswatini, with the objective of allowing Mozambicans living in that kingdom, as well as tourists and the citizens of that country themselves to have access to this beverage.

Txilar is being marketed in that kingdom by the company itself, which has opened an export line for Txilar 250 ml and Txilar 330 ml for this purpose.

A statement from the company sent to AIM this week explains that this export became possible also because "national tourism allowed Txilar to become known beyond borders, a fact that made beer lovers in Eswatini generate demand and consequently the need to respond to consumer demand.

Roelof Segers, general manager of Heineken Mozambique, said that this act is an important milestone for the company, starting from production to commercialization and exportation, especially since this product originated in Mozambique.

"We are proud to positively contribute to our country's trade balance by exporting Txilar beer to the Kingdom of Eswatini. This operation makes us leverage the quality of the country's resources and our location considering our strategic position in Southern Africa," he stressed.

Txilar beer is the result of a USD 100 million investment by Heineken in Mozambique, which generated a factory that uses local raw materials, such as water from the Marracuene district in the southern province of Maputo and corn grown in the central province of Manica.
