About 3,500 people victims of terrorism receive assistance in Nampula

More than 3,500 victims of terrorism in Cabo Delgado province are receiving assistance at the Corane Displaced Persons Center in Nampula province, according to an official source.

"This administrative post in fact accommodates a larger number of displaced people and the government has been granting diversified support to these fellow citizens, be it in food supplies, houses for their accommodation, including farms for the practice of agriculture," said Manuel Rodrigues, Governor of Nampula province, quoted by RM.

"And this support will continue to be provided to this population. Fortunately we have been registering the gradual return of this population to their areas of origin in Cabo Delgado province, but to say that, Nampula yes, accommodates and will continue to provide support to our fellow citizens who are coming from Cabo Delgado province," he said.

According to the source, the Armed Forces of Defense of Mozambique have a new challenge, following the recent attacks in the districts of Memba and Eráti, which culminated in three deaths, being an 83-year-old Italian nun, and two other people, from the neighboring community of the Catholic mission.
