Portuguese Cultural Center and City Hall announce winners of literary exchange program

Centro Cultural Português e Câmara Municipal anunciam vencedores do programa de intercâmbio literário

Eduardo Quive and Lúcia Vicente are the winning authors of the 2022 edition of the literary exchange program and will be in residence, from August 25 to September 25, in Lisbon, Portugal, and from October 1 to 31, in Maputo, Mozambique, respectively.

The jury, composed by Maria Carlos Loureiro (General Direction of Books, Archives and Libraries, invited), João Pignatelli (Director of Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo) and Carlos Moura-Carvalho (Municipal Director of Culture of the Lisbon Municipality) decided unanimously to select the work proposals of Eduardo Quive and Lúcia Vicente, considering that in the universe of the admitted applications, they are the ones that best fit the logic of this literary exchange program.

The jury also highlighted the impact and benefits of these residencies, and of the encounters and experiences they provide, for the literary activity of the winning candidates and for the projects presented.

Created under the cooperation protocol signed between Lisbon City Hall (CML) and Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo, the program to encourage literary creation and focus on the internationalization of culture is aimed at Portuguese and Mozambican writers with published work and who wish to develop a literary creation project.
