CAN: "Mambas" receive support for internship in South Africa

CAN: “Mambas” recebem apoio para estágio na África do Sul

The National Football Team, "Mambas", received support this Monday from ExxonMobil, a US company in the oil and gas sector in Mozambique.

The agreement aims to finance the expenses related to the internship in Johannesburg, South Africa, although the amounts involved have not been disclosed.

The partnership was formalized through the signing of an agreement between the company and the Mozambican Football Federation, in the presence of the Secretary of State for Sport, Gilberto Mendes.

On the occasion, ExxonMobil CEO Arne Gibbs said: "For us it's very important to be part of sport, the development of the country and social development. In this agreement we don't talk about value, for us the greatest value is that the national team goes to the African Championship and has a lot of success there."

For his part, the president of the FMF, Feizal Sidat, said that "with this sponsorship the institution will cover all the transportation costs of the national team and the entire delegation for the training camp as well as for the trip to Côte d'Ivoire.

"Naturally there are still some aspects to be finalized, the awards will be seen in a second phase, there are several items that are not yet covered and with the contacts we are making with the Secretary of State for Sport we will find other partners over the course of the week," he said.
