A truck carrying fuel and another carrying minerals collided on Wednesday afternoon on National Road No. 4 in the city of Matola, injuring three people.

The victims are the two drivers of the cargo trucks and one occupant who, according to the Police of the Republic of Mozambique, were immediately taken to Matola Provincial Hospital.

In addition to the injuries, the collision resulted in extensive material damage, including to the sidewalk of the N4. As a result of the accident, traffic was restricted in the late afternoon and early evening.
