Cabo Delgado: Vila municipal do Ibo volta à normalidade após últimos ataques terroristas

The president of the municipal village of Ibo assured on Wednesday (6) that life has returned to normal, after the climate of fear and unrest experienced due to the terrorist attacks on the administrative post of Quirimba and the neighboring district of Quissanga, in Cabo Delgado.

Cited by Radio MozambiqueIssa Tarmamade said that security in the municipality has been reinforced and commerce and other activities are going on as normal.

"At the moment, Ibo is calm. The reinforcement we have received from the Defense and Security Forces, 99.9% Ibo is safe," said Issa Tarmamade, stressing, however, that he does not intend to leave the village despite the new wave of insurgent attacks.

Meanwhile, the Commander General of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM), Bernardino Rafael, has also called for increased surveillance and patrols in the town, advising the population not to fish far from the town for safety reasons.
