The Ministry of Defense confirmed the death of the terrorist captured yesterday during an attack on the town of Macomia, Cabo Delgado, guaranteeing that he did not resist due to his serious injuries.

"Subsequently, the captured terrorist lost his life as a result of serious injuries," reads the Ministry's statement, adding that "at the moment, the pursuit and annihilation of the enemy's remaining elements is continuing."

The village of Macomia was attacked by a group of terrorists in the early hours of Friday morning, at around 04:55 minutes.

According to the same note, the Armed Defense Forces of Mozambique (FADM) report that there have been no deaths or injuries on the part of the government forces.
