Cabo Delgado: Governo e parceiros procuram apoio para ajudar famílias deslocadas em Chiúre

The administrator of Chiúre district, in Cabo Delgado province, Oliveira Amimo, said that the government and partners are mobilizing funds to help displaced families who are victims of terrorism. This involves support for food and cleaning products to prevent the outbreak of cholera.

"We're looking for conditions to be able to support these families. The government is making an effort to assist these families who, due to the situation, have ended up settling here in the Chiúre district headquarters," said the administrator.

However, the source added that more than 2,000 displaced families from the Mazeze and Old Chiúre administrative posts are currently in the Chiúre district's main town, and the trend is for the number of displaced people to increase in the coming days.
