More than 30,000 citizens displaced by the terrorist actions in Cabo Delgados already have identity cards, an official source said today.

Gilda Lameque, spokeswoman for the National Directorate of Civil Identification, told a press conference that the award is part of the Cabo Delgado Reconstruction project.

The source quoted by RM also said that this work aims to ensure that all citizens who have lost their documents are given identification documents.

Last February alone, according to the spokesman, more than one hundred and fifty thousand identity cards were produced.
