A terrorist group yesterday attacked the camp of the Mozambican mining company Mwiriti, located in the administrative post of Nairoto, in the Montepuez district.
The information was provided yesterday afternoon by the company's administrator, Asghar Fakhir, according to "Notícias".
According to the source, during their incursion, the terrorists burned a lot of machinery, motorcycles and other property, "fortunately there were no human victims to complain about, but they burned everything".
It should be noted that in Nairoto, specifically in the Mwiriti area, the mining company has a license to search for and exploit gold.
Since the end of 2017, the province of Cabo Delgado, which is rich in natural gas, has been the target of terrorist attacks, which have already caused the destruction of various infrastructures and thousands of displaced people.
