The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mozambique Stock Exchange (BVM), Salim Valá, has set a target of thirty companies to be listed on the stock exchange by 2028.
In an interview with RM, Valá added that 16 companies are currently listed on the Mozambique Stock Exchange.
According to the source, with the expected increase over the next four years, the level of market capitalization should rise by 10%.
However, despite the contribution of the extractive industry to Mozambique's growth, he stressed that the agriculture sector should continue to be the main focus for the country's economic development.
Because, according to him, agriculture is the most employable area in the country.
