The annual question and answer session on Reddit by philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is still making headlines. Among various topics, the billionaire chose Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the most revolutionary technology.

The tech mogul was asked what he thinks of the importance that AI, Web3 and the metaverse could have in the future, and contrary to what has been the trend in recent months, Bill Gates, quoted by Executive Digest, doesn't seem to be particularly enthusiastic about either Web3 or the metaverse and confessed that AI is "quite revolutionary".

A user then asked him which technologies he thought would play a more important role in the long term, and Gates highlighted the advantages that AI could have in the future.

"AI is big. I don't think Web3 is that big or that the metaverse is revolutionary in isolation, but AI is pretty revolutionary," he said. "I'm very impressed with the pace at which these AIs are improving. I think they're going to have a big impact," he said.
