This Thursday, the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, removed Bernardino Rafael from his post as Commander General of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique. In his place, Daniel Chapo appointed Joaquim Adriano Sive.
Chapo also ordered the promotion to the rank of Inspector General of Police, in the class of General Officers, of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Joaquim Adriano Sive, according to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
At the time of his appointment, Joaquim Sive was Provincial Commander of the PRM in Sofala.
