BCI and Girl MOVE Academy highlight female leadership in CHANGE Program

BCI e Girl MOVE Academy destacam liderança feminina no Programa CHANGE

As part of the active partnership between Girl MOVE Academy and Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI), the graduation ceremony for 10 young Mozambican leaders from the CHANGE Program was held in the BCI auditorium in Maputo.

The event was highlighted by moments of inspiration and emotion, with the presentation of videos that addressed the journey of the Girl Movers in Nampula, highlighting the challenges overcome, the personal growth and the community impact achieved. The graduates and their guardians shared moving testimonies about transformative experiences throughout the program. The session culminated with the awarding of diplomas, celebrating the commitment, resilience and vision of these young women, who are now ready to actively contribute to the development of their communities.

On the occasion, BCI Director Luís Aguiar said: “For the BCI, it is an honor to support projects that promote equal opportunities, value female talent and drive sustainable actions. We support initiatives that strengthen the training of young women in vulnerable situations, creating the conditions for them to fully develop their potential. We recognize the merit of your efforts and reiterate our commitment to Mozambique's economic and social development.”.

The CHANGE Program offers intensive training, personalized mentoring, immersive experiences, social impact projects and an international professional experience, allowing participants to build networks with national and international leaders. The young women apply the knowledge they acquire to practical projects, tackling real challenges and generating sustainable change in their communities.

The event was an opportunity to recognize and strengthen the role of partnerships in promoting young female leadership and pushing for a more inclusive and prosperous future for Mozambique, highlighting the multiplier effect of girls' education as a tool for social progress.
