Bayern Munich today announced the signing of Senegalese striker Sadio Mané, who has represented Liverpool for the past six seasons. Mane will represent the Bavarian champion until June 2025.
"I am very happy to finally be at Bayern. We talked a lot and I felt a great interest from this great club from the beginning, so for me there was no doubt. It is the right time for this challenge. I want to achieve a lot with this club and also in Europe," said Mané, in statements released on the official website of the German emblem.
The 30-year-old striker has spent the last eight years in the Premier League, first with Southampton, where he spent two seasons, and then the rest with Liverpool, having won a Champions League, an English League, and an English Cup with the 'reds'.
Mané leaves Liverpool with 269 official games for the club and 120 goals scored.

Before arriving in England, the Senegalese player, voted African Footballer of the Year 2019, wore the jersey of Salzburg and Metz.
Mané has 89 games and 31 goals for Senegal and celebrated with his national team winning the last edition of the African Nations Championship.
Bayern, which has won the last 10 editions of the Bundesliga, did not reveal the transfer price, but the German press revealed that the Bavarian club has paid around 40 million euros for the signing of the Senegalese forward.
