The National Directorate for Water Management is warning communities in the north of the country to take precautionary measures in view of the increase in flows in the main rivers.
In an interview with Rádio Moçambique, Isaque Filimone, a technician from the National Directorate for Water Resources Management, explained that the Montepuez, Messalo and Rovuma river basins have been experiencing an increase in water levels.
According to the source, this requires greater attention from riverside communities given the imminent danger.
As for the central and southern regions of the country, Isaque Filimone said that the situation of the rivers tends to remain stable. (Source: RM)
