A bus belonging to the transport company City Link burnt down on Friday morning with 23 passengers on board in the Domela region, in the Nicoadala district of Zambezia province.

According to the newspaper Notícias, the causes of the fire that completely destroyed the vehicle are not yet known, but the driver is considering the possibility of an explosion of a device located near the rear tires.

The driver was alerted to the flames at the back of the moving bus by passengers in a car coming from behind.

Of the 23 passengers, 17 were traveling to Maputo and the rest to Inchope.
