The 5th Judicial Chamber of the city of Nampula decided to partially uphold the appeal filed by the Renamo party in that municipality.
The court upheld the chapter concerning the discrepancy in the data contained in the district tabulation notices. It therefore ordered the District Elections Commission to correct the data in question, "and to validate the original notices for Nahene EP1 and the sports pavilion".
The court also decided not to uphold the chapter on the alleged manipulation of the computer system in the data collection. The court did not find sufficient evidence to justify Renamo's claim.
According to STV, the Renamo party has already scheduled a press conference in Nampula to react to these decisions.
It should be remembered that Renamo in Nampula accused Frelimo's campaign delegate, Celso Correia, of having sent a hacker to commit fraud. The party says that the individual needed to isolate himself in a room to process the data for the sake of fraud.
