Migrant traffic at the Machipanda border crossing in Manica has increased by more than a thousand passengers a day since it began operating 24 hours a day at the beginning of last week.
The information was given this Friday by the Minister of Transport and Communications Mateus Magala, after a working visit he made to that cross-border post.
Magala said at the time that the flow of passengers and goods had improved in the region.
"The movement is impressive, the numbers have gone up. So it's a very important step," he said, quoted by Rádio Mocambique.
