The Assembly of the Republic (AR) approved 34 of the 44 points initially scheduled for the IV Ordinary Session of the IX Legislature that ended this Friday.

The information was advanced this Friday by the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Esperança Bias, during the closing speech of the session. However, Esperança Bias also pointed out that some matters were not appreciated due to the need for greater harmonization.

In terms of legislative production, he highlighted the approval of legal instruments such as the law for the Economic and Social Plan and the State Budget for 2022, the Public Health law, the law for the Compulsory Social Security System for State Employees and Agents, among others.

Bias also referred to the activities undertaken by the working committees during the IV Ordinary Session. These are parliamentary hearings, consideration of proposals, draft laws and resolutions, as well as various training activities, with a view to improving the MPs' knowledge of legislative matters.
