Dércio Alfazema, a political analyst, believes that the current demonstrations in Mozambique have no leadership, and "are confusions" aimed at making "cannon fodder" out of the people.
Speaking on a program on Success TVHe criticized the fact that the demonstrations evoked by presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane were not properly organized.
The Director of the Institute for Multiparty Democracy questioned, for example, the epicenter of the march, the identity of its leaders, the presence of civil society supporting the demonstrations, the itinerary of the marches and the communication/document on the unfolding of the marches.
"That's not marching. It's confusion that's wanted here. This is a real disorganization to use the people as cannon fodder, to put pressure on the police, create instability and end up in a tragic situation," he warned.
For Alfazema, Venâncio Mondlane has reached a level of ambition where he only intends to be president of any organization, such as a church or association.
"We need to help this compatriot of ours," he appealed.
The demonstrations have already resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries, with police firing lethal bullets at protesters.
