Law educators, with a focus on teachers and students, will be trained in competition-related subjects by the Competition Regulatory Authority (ARC).
In fact, ARC and Eduardo Mondlane University signed a memorandum yesterday in Maputo, with the aim of enriching the theoretical and practical training of law students and professionals and strengthening knowledge about the legal framework of competition.
An ARC press release states that the institution will, among other things, ensure the availability of trainers, teaching materials, collaborate in research and facilitate access to documentation.
"The ARC's mission is to ensure the application of the rules for the promotion and defense of competition in the private and public sectors in Mozambique, with a view to increasing the culture of healthy competition in the economy, the efficient functioning of markets, the optimal allocation of resources, the promotion of innovation and the protection of consumer interests," it reads.
